Students’ Centre Inaugurated Under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Rekha Sood Handa, the Students’ Centre at Gopichand Arya Mahila College, Abohar was inaugurated by Shri Sandeep Jhakhar, Hon’ble MLA, Abohar, who graced the occasion with his presence and an inspiring address to the students. He appreciated the transformation of the space and encouraged students to work hard, dream big, practise civic responsibility, and actively participate in public life. The event was further graced by Ms. Charu Ahuja, Member, Governing Body (DAVCMC), and Dr. Shakuntla Midha. Developed by the Eco Club and Women Studies Centre under the guidance of Ms. Amandeep Kaur, in collaboration with Ms. Jyoti Singhmar (Fine Arts), the centre beautifully transforms a former waste dumping site into an eco-friendly, vibrant student space. A memento was presented to Shri Sandeep Jhakhar as a token of gratitude. Around 400 students participating enthusiastically in the event. The 7th day and valedictory session of the 7 Days NSS Camp was held at Gopichand Arya Mahila College, Abohar under the guidance of Principal Dr. Rekha Sood Handa, NSS Programme Officer Ms. Shivangi Vij, and Mr. Sunil Soni. The day began with a Poster Making Competition in which NSS volunteers make their posters on Drug free society. This was followed by the Flag Down Ceremony, marking the conclusion of a week filled with learning, service, and teamwork.
